What Are CBG Hemp Seeds

You’re probably familiar with CBD, or cannabinoid hemp seeds, but what about CBG seeds?

There are over 100 varieties of cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, including CBG. CBG, also known as cannabigerol, occurs naturally in cannabis plants, but acts as a parent. CBGa, a parent molecule, is the source from which all cannabinoids form. When a base or parent molecule (CBGa) is heated, source molecules convert it to non-acidic forms like THC, CBD, CBC, and CBG, which are aged to become CBNA, CBN, Delta 8 THC, CBL, and CBLA.

CBG is a fairly recent discovery and is still being studied, but it’s already shown promise in helping with neurological and physical relief

Common Uses for CBG

CBG and its many properties can provide relief for neurological symptoms of anxiety, including:

  • Helping to regulate mood
  • Increasing appetite
  • Reducing physical pain

It’s also shown promise in other areas, including:

  • Protecting neuro pathways
  • Preventing and treating glaucoma
  • Treating long-term illnesses

CBG levels in most hemp plants are typically low, so you must grow strains specifically for CBG.  Some strains and seeds can produce flowers with CBG concentration levels of 20-22%!

New Farmers for CBG Market

New farmers ask us about CBG all the time, although it’s popular we don’t know of a market for it at this time except for medicinal purposes. The other issue is we saw how CBD Isolate and Desolate was a big demand driver, but the CBD world didn’t have any buyers, and it went boom. So we are holding on CBG since its is still being researched, but there’s no doubt we will learn more and more about its benefits in the coming years.
