For the State of Montana’s USDA approved Hemp Plan will be implemented beginning November 1, 2020. For the 2020 growing season, Montana will continue operating under the authority of the 2014 Farm Bill and will be implementing its 2020 Pilot Program Plan until October 31, 2020.

For the 2021 Montana growing season will not be implementing its USDA Approved Hemp Plan beginning November 1, 2020 as originally planned due to the recent pilot program extension made by Congress. Rather, the Montana State Hemp Program will continue operating under authorities provided for in the 2014 pilot program until September of 2021 or until Congressional allowance lapses.
